On an even night of april 2018, in a huge temple in bangkok -none of the famous ones-, i went to crash funerals -i truly recommend do this; people is very nice and the spectacle it's just amazing, you have singing, acrobatics, free food. . . This recording came from a taoist funeral -that night they have also some others in that temple -i need to find out which one, but i think it's next to sam sen subway station-, many, buddhist funerals. Just now, i realized the singing it's in mandarin. Over the funeral chatting, you heard the singer voice and the instrument, timbals, erhu. A very oriental ambiance. Not edited. Recorded with my old, and now quite cranky, zoom ii recorder.

For the 2021 production of christmas carol i wanted to add some special effects. To create a ghostly voices saying ebenezer scrooge i recorded 10 different cast members, then i used audacity to add a little reverb and filter the voice using the frequency transform of a recording of wind. Then i played the voices while the wind was blowing.

A clean raw stereo recording of about a thousand people chatting with each other. No distinct dialogue. Recorded in stereo on an h4n. The microphone was positioned about 20 feet above and to the side of the crowd. Recorded in a big space with huge ceilings--would be suitable for a theatre, auditorium, rally, sports game, etc. , but an experienced editor might be able to make this into an outdoor scene as well. There might be minimal handling noise.

Surround recording of the beach at brela in croatia. The recorder is situated directly on the shoreline, facing seaward, so the waves lapping onto the rocky shore can be heard directly in the foreground, further in the background, crickets can be heard, and further behind that, the occasional voice of a bather or the sound of a passing boat. Recorded with a zoom h2. This file contains the front channels, recorded with a mic-dispersion of 90°.

I was just messing around with audacity again, this time slowing down my recording like a tape record, which not only stretched the time, but also turned down the frequency range which resulted in pitch shift. I stumbled around a sound that sounded like a huge horn exhaust - like those war pipes from celtics. So i experimented a little bit and made this one. Original recording was mono (but recorded to stereo track), however i added a reverb effect which created a nice stereo reverb effect. Feel free to use in games :).

This is a recording of myself sleeping, beginning ~ 1:00 am local time (~ 3hrs after going to bed) on january 10th, 2020 (which i later discovered was a full moon). I was in the midst of experimenting with recording myself all night long out of curiosity, using a laptop placed near the head of my bed. This particular recording was the only anomalous one (the rest consisting mostly of just breathing or snoring with occasional sleep-talking). This ~2 hour recording has several interesting properties, which make it hard for me to believe that these sounds were actually going on while i was sleeping. On the other hand, i don't have a memory of editing this file if i did. Either way, i find it unsettling. I found the file in oct 2021 while organizing my samples. As far as i can remember, this is the original raw recording. On further inspection, i discovered that it has some additional peculiar properties that make it even harder to believe i could have made it without remembering doing so. The audio spans almost exactly 118min (7080s). There’s a frequency sweep with a cycle-length of 6480ms that repeats throughout the entire recording. Dividing the 118min by 6. 48min (60 cycles) results in 18 parts containing exactly 60 cycles and a remainder of 12 cycles. If you think you know the source of the strange sounds or if you've ever heard anything similar, please let me know in the comments or email me at storyofthelie@protonmail. Com. I collected the most interesting bits into this pack:https://freesound. Org/people/storyofthelie/packs/33653/. I wanted to create a better sounding womb environment, and so i created this sound in audacity by combining a recording of my breathing along with a heart beat at 60 bpm, underwater sounds to simulate the womb environment and to top it off there's the muffled sound of a female voice reading a story to her unborn child. Feel free to use in any of your projects.

Okay, this one has a strange story behind it. I don't remember why i was recording, but it was my voice (probably a narration,) and when i listened to it, this sound showed up at the very end. I was the only one home, and i don't remember a sound outside prior to pressing the stop button, but it was there. Weird, random, and unexpected, but neat all the same!.

I tried and tried and tried to find a genuine audio recording of a sandstorm, but all i could find were synthetic mixes. What genuine audio i did find always had some other noise or voice polluting the audio. So, i found a couple of great wind audio recordings, some wind rustling a dry corn field, and some low earth rumbling and combined all of that to create the closet approximation i could to the authentic sandstorm audio i was able to find but couldn't use. I hope others find this audio useful in any of your projects. Feel free to use with no worries.

When i first tested out my zoom h5 i began talking into the mic and then all of a sudden i needed a sneeze. I was about to stop the recording but then thought it would be good to record the sneeze to see how it handled my loudness. Well it coped very well and the recording came out perfect!so, here it is. Me (a man) teasing my wife by going down on her, bringing her to near orgasm, stopping and fucking her. This repeats as she gets closer and louder. The sex becomes rougher and there is some choking later in the recording. I think this recording was made in 2016 using a zoom h6 and a rode ntg4 mic or possibly the x/y capsule that comes with the recorder. Note on the recording: there seem to be some silences at a couple of points. Something probably happened in the rendering. I probably won't do anything to fix this as it's just a few seconds out of 18 minutes of audio.
